Victor D’Angelo is the COO of Villanova Insurance Partners and the National Program Director for RESASURE. Victor has been a partner at VIP since 2013 and has led many different aspects of the company via sales, business development and program creation. Victor has many years of experience developing programs for niche markets, specifically around insurance and risk management. Victor has led the team to specifically design the program now being offered to RESA members called RESASURE. Victor has spoken to many conferences and given virtual discussions regarding the importance of Real Estate Stagers having insurance and a solid Risk Management Program. Victor lives outside of Philadelphia with his wife and is a proud father of three great kids.
Insurance and Risk Management What You Need To Know
Real Estate Staging can be an exciting and creative career choice, but no business is absent from risk. In this RESACON session Victor D’Angelo will discuss the risks relevant to the Staging business (through first-hand knowledge of claims experience).
He will discuss how to mitigate that risk with a combination of both insurance (deferring your risk to an insurance carrier for a premium) and risk management strategies (by using tools available like contracts, subcontractor agreements, and RESASURE’s claims assist hotline to avoid a claim).
Victor D’Angelo will discuss in detail the specific coverages you need to buy from an insurance company and why they are important. He will discuss the tenets of the RESASURE program and how to take advantage of it. One of their attorneys will be a part of the session to discuss contracts, subcontractor agreements, and what to do if you think you have a claim on the horizon.
